About Mackay Marine Surveyors

We are a Scottish based Marine Surveying Company serving the Yacht and Small Craft Marine Industry operating on a National and International basis.

Yacht and Small Craft Training & other Qualifications

Undertaking training with the International Boat Building Training College (IBTC) at Lowestoft, and gaining a Diploma in Marine Surveying for Yachts and Small Craft, being one of the worlds most recognised and leading survey qualifications, internationally recognised.

I have both, theoretical and practical experience to support my surveying experience. I have a Masters Degree in Engineering, and a Fellowship of the Society of Professional Engineers. I am also a Euro Eng.

I undertake Continuous Professional Development (CPD) through the YDSA and as a member of the British Marine Surveyors Europe (BMSE) I have full access to a network of professional marine surveyors in specialist fields for exchange of information and advice.

I am a RYA Offshore skipper, with sailing experience in Dufour and Benatau sailing boats, and Benatau Antares Motor boats.

I also am registered with Lloyds as a Quality Management Systems (QMS) internal Auditor - Cert number: 04 3056.

We are continually updating knowledge, instruments and tools to stay at the fore of technology, and ensuring the client received the best advice.
